……the rate of pre-term births in GA (and specifically Clayton County) is inexcusably high and continues to get worse despite efforts.
According to the March of Dimes 2021 Pre-Term Birth Report Card, Clayton County received an "F" and the rating has worsened over the past 4 years.
Black infants and black women have a disproportionate mortality rate than the general population in many counties in Georgia. Clayton County has an infant mortality rate 1.5 times greater than the national average.
